The Metamorphosis is a novel written by Franz Kafka that tells the story of Gregor Samsa. He was a saturated escapeing individual who worked large pep hours in order to yield his family after his gos business had failed. He gave up many long time of his life to selflessly pull his family through this very hard time. One morning, after many years of being his familys sole breadwinner, he woke up transformed into a lusus naturae bug and was no longer able to continue his intent in accompaniment his family.
In The Metamorphosis, we see how the ideas and beliefs of Karl Marx were portrayed. He believed that the person with m unitaryy or the ability to earn the money has power. Gregor Samsa was the one who had the power in the family because he was the one earning the money and supporting his family. The false love and appreciation that his father had for him soon became open and disappeared once the time came that Gregor was no longer able to support his family, forcing Mr. Samsa to go back to work. The father-son relationship here was based on what Karl Marks believes. The minute Gregor stopped earning money, his fathers status towards his son was harsh and he regarded his transformed son with disgust.
Franz Kafka showed in his book a number of different instances that leave me to leave off that his father holds responsibility for destroying the identity of Gregor Samsa more than any opposite family member.
Wilhelm Emrich proves the relationship between Gregor Samsa and his father to be based completely on the money that Gregor brought into their home. They had just gotten used to it, the family as vigorous as Gregor, the money was received with thanks and given with pleasure, still no special feeling of warmth went with it anymore (p 35). When Gregor was saving in money and putting food on the table, they apprehended him. After his metamorphosis though, he could not go to work as before, therefore the relationship dissipated.
