The Second Great Awakening , a reprise of the Great Awakening of the early 18th light speed ,arose in several places and in several active forms. primarily in the New England area and in the upper halves of the snapper states, social reforms took place. Many new denominations arose including Protestant sect. It gave rise to the customary camping meeting, a chance for isolated frontier kindred to gather and enjoy the excitement of evangelistic fervor.
